Cyber Security Essentials
About 40 minutes · 7 modules · Pass mark 80%
100% online · At your own pace · No booking needed
Employees complete the lessons and quiz on their own computer, whenever suits them — no scheduled classes or appointments.
Cyber Security Essentials teaches every employee the handful of habits that stop most attacks: pause before you click, verify before you pay, never share a one-time PIN, and report anything odd. It takes about 40 minutes across seven short modules.
Who it's for: every employee, from reception to the boardroom. No technical knowledge needed.
How it works:
- Seven modules of 4–7 minutes each, with a two-question knowledge check after each one.
- One short video introduces the course.
- A 15-question final assessment. Pass mark 80% (12 of 15). Unlimited retries.
- On passing, you receive a certificate and your employer's training register is updated.
By the end you will be able to:
- Explain why attackers target people rather than computers.
- Spot the warning signs of a phishing email, SMS, WhatsApp message or phone call.
- Stop payment fraud by verifying any change to bank details through a known phone number.
- Recognise deepfake and AI-assisted scams and know how to check.
- Protect your accounts with strong passphrases, a password manager and multi-factor authentication.
- Report a suspicious message, and know exactly what to do if you already clicked.
The four rules to remember: Pause before you click. Verify before you pay. Never share an OTP. Report it, don't delete it.
